Job Description

GenC Role Responsibilities:

  • Understand business needs clearly and record them properly.
  • Build, update, fix, test, and launch software based on project requirements.
  • Review data needs and create matching test cases.
  • Work in an Agile team setup, making sure tasks are completed on time and following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
  • Create simple and clear designs for assigned parts of the project.
  • Plan and organize tasks well to meet deadlines and solve any problems early.
  • Take full responsibility for your tasks and complete them efficiently.
  • Join team meetings and technical discussions to help create reliable, high-quality, and affordable solutions.
  • Keep learning and improving your skills by taking part in training and learning new technologies.
  • Communicate well and work closely with your team members.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Degree Requirement: Only students from the 2025 graduating batch with a B.E., B.Tech, M.E., or M.Tech degree in eligible branches can apply. (Streams like Leather Technology, Food Technology, and Fashion Technology are not eligible.)
  • Academic Records: Candidates must have a consistent academic performance, with at least 60% marks in 10th, 12th, Diploma (if applicable), Undergraduate, and Postgraduate studies. (Marks such as 59.9% will not be rounded off.)
  • Current Degree Performance: Applicants must have a minimum of 60% aggregate in their ongoing degree at the time of joining, and must not have any pending backlogs.
  • CGPA to Percentage Conversion: The conversion from CGPA to percentage should follow the norms of the respective university.
  • Active Backlogs: Candidates with any active backlogs are not eligible.
  • Work Flexibility: Applicants should be open to working in any Cognizant office location, in any shift, and on any assigned technology.
  • Nationality: Only Indian nationals and OCI holders who are currently residing in India can apply.
  • Communication: All recruitment updates will be sent to the personal email ID registered on Superset. It is mandatory to keep this email ID unchanged throughout the recruitment process and during onboarding.

Documents Required for Registration:

  • Resume: Attach your updated resume with a recent passport-sized photograph.
  • Industry Accredited Certificate: If available, upload any relevant industry-accredited certificates.

Documents Required for Interview:

  • Academic Documents: Provide all necessary academic records, including your school/college marksheets, UG and PG marksheets, and provisional or degree certificates. If available, also provide your college ID card.

Documents Required for Onboarding:

  • PAN Card: A valid PAN card is mandatory for the onboarding process. Ensure that the name on the PAN card matches the registered name and that the last name and father’s name are correct. Discrepancies may result in failure of background verification.
  • Proof of Citizenship: A Voter ID card or Passport is mandatory for verifying citizenship.

GenC Next:

Candidates should have strong technical and academic skills, with expertise in programming and coding, along with full-stack development capabilities. They should also hold industry-recognized certifications in one or more of the following technologies: Java, C#, Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Python, Oracle, SQL/PLSQL, Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Maven, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring REST, Advanced Python, Advanced Cloud Fundamentals, ASP .Net Core, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, and ASP .Net Core Web API.

GenC Pro:

Candidates must possess technical expertise in enterprise platforms or specific technologies, such as Cybersecurity, Oracle, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Pega, SAP ABAP, SAP Basis, and ServiceNow, along with relevant industry certifications.
